Statements of Intent (SOI)

Education Week Launch
Grandparents and Special Friends Morning

On Monday our students were very excited to share their learning and their school with grandparents and special friends. The rainy weather held off long enough for assembly to go ahead in front of a large crowd of visitors. The morning had a lovely community feel and there were lots of very proud grandparents and friends, and equally proud students.

Thank you to Year 5 parents for organising the Morning Tea and thank you to all who provided goodies or helped out on the morning. We are sure the visitors will  remember the range of educational programs  and opportunities offered at our school, as well as  the wonderful morning tea.

Thank you to Mrs Rothberg, Mr Lilburne, Miss Volkov, Miss Hulls, Mrs Gardiner and Mrs Dale for preparing our  Year 5 students to lead assembly and for their performance.

Thank you also to Mrs Rothberg and the Glee Club for entertaining our visitors at Morning Tea.

To all visitors who purchased a book for the library, thank you. Your generosity is very greatly appreciated. Your contribution will be acknowledged on a bookplate inside the cover of your purchase and then added to our book collection.

Future Career Dress Up Day and Parade

Wow, we could tell by their smiles that our students thoroughly enjoyed dressing up yesterday to represent their future career. Thank you to the teachers for dressing up and joining in to the spirit of the day also.

Callum Merrick,  a School Captain at Beaumaris PS in 2004, was the guest speaker at assembly.

He explained his career path with Tiger Airlines and he described the influence Beaumaris PS had on his life beyond school. We thank him for spending time with us as a role model for our students,  and thank you to Miss Hulls for inviting him along.

Parents as guest speakers to support
Education Week at BPS

We extend a huge thank you to the large number of parents who visited classrooms to share their passion and expertise in their chosen profession. The students were fascinated to learn about the rewards and challenges of a wide range of professions evident in our parent community. The parents' enthusiasm truly inspired our students to follow their passion.

Two friendly reminders for today

Alumni gathering this afternoon from 4.00 -5.00pm

Parent Information Evening: Mathematics facilitated by Sue Fine 6.30-8.00pm

Both events are taking place in the SALC.

No assembly this Friday

Due to gathering as a school twice this week, our usual Friday assembly will not take place.

Congratulations David and Peter

It is always wonderful to hear about the successes of past students.  Peter was in Year 6 last year and his brother David in 2016.  We hear they are following their passion with great success.  Peter has the lead role in a local production of Oliver along with David and other members of the family.  Congratulations David and Peter and good luck from everyone at Beaumaris Primary.

Gratitude and Mindfulness

What are three things that went well for you today?

What are the best things that happened to you today?

Who are you most grateful for and why?

What are you looking forward to most about tomorrow?
