HISTORY: The Australian Colonies
A study of colonial Australia in the 1800s. Students look at the founding of British colonies and the development of a colony, with a particular focus on the effects of the Gold Rush.
SCIENCE: Desert Survivors
The Desert Survivors unit provides an opportunity for students to explore some of the structural features and adaptations of desert plants and animals, and to compare them with plants and animals that live in other environments.
GEOGRAPHY: Factors That Shape Places and Influence Interconnections
This unit allows students to develop an understanding of different countries throughout Asia, Europe and North America. Students investigate the economic, demographic and social inequalities between countries as well as gathering an understanding of the natural disasters that can occur across the planet.
SCIENCE: Change Detectives - Chemical Science
The Change Detectives unit provides opportunities for students to explore melting, evaporating, dissolving, reacting and burning through hands-on activities and student-planned investigations.
HEALTH - Family Life Program
Health information including an explanation of the physical, social and emotional changes that students may experience through puberty.
