Principal Appointment

Dear parents and guardians,

Following a merit based competitive selection process I am pleased to announce that Kai Pukarinen has been provisionally appointed as Principal of Naranga School.
Kai has worked in education both in mainstream and special education settings internationally and in Australia. He has been a Leading Teacher and Assistant Principal at Naranga for the last 8 years and has a sound knowledge and understanding of our school, community and context.
Kai has led a number of initiatives during his time including innovative teaching and learning programs and, the implementation and embedding of School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support practices.
I am delighted to welcome Kai to this new position and I am sure you will join me in congratulating him on his appointment. Kai commences substantively in the role on the 27th January 2020 and will continue as Acting Principal until that date.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of the school community a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

David Tredinnick
School Council President

As the weather forecast tomorrow is for extreme temperatures we have made a school decision to hold our final 2019 school assembly at 9am. As usual all parents are welcome to attend.
Sorry for any inconvenience.
