The Ridiculous Rhyme Show was written and developed by UK children's television presenters Joe Chambers and Andrew Crawford. Joe and Andy play First Officer Ditty and Professor Poet on BBC children's show The Rhyme Rocket.

Now with a team of six, they have visited over 600 schools, headlined Glastonbury music festival Kidz Field, and this year they are here in Australia visiting schools.

The show was written to engage a primary school aged audience using interactive performance and comedy. It encourages children to enjoy literacy through creative word play which can be carried back into the classroom following the visit.

If parents would like more information they can go to their website

A reminder that The Ridiculous Rhyme Show is coming to Syndal South on Monday 20th May.

The Premier's Reading challenge

The Premier’s Reading Challenge (PRC) is now open. The challenge encourages students to read a set number of books over the years and record their efforts. It is not a competition but a challenge to each student to read, to read more and to read more widely.

The PRC website has links to book lists and where you can see the number of books you are required to read plus loads more.  PRC student reading records will need to be finalised by 6th September 2019.

Syndal South's goal is that all children participate and complete the challege.

Happy Reading!
