Dear Parents and Friends of St Therese's,

"Do all that you do with love," St Therese of Lisieux

Welcome back to Term Three. I trust that you all enjoyed the holidays and were able to find some quality time to relax and enjoy with your children.

Through the holidays, we were busy with some school improvements. Please check out the new sign at the entrance. Over the coming months, we will continue to update the front of the school, including a new garden. Unfortunately, the tall gum tree needed to be removed as it was deemed unsafe.

School Review

On Tuesday, July 30, the School Review will take place. The purpose of the review is to reflect on the goals and intended outcomes that were set four years ago. These goals are related to Religious Education, Leadership and Learning & Teaching. An external reviewer from the Sale Diocese will facilitate the review and the results will be used to set the goals and targets for the next four years.

We welcome this direction as we work together to create the very best learning environment for all the children and their families at St Therese's primary school.

Sacrament of Confirmation

Next week, sixteen Year Six students will make the Sacrament of Confirmation. We pray that through the Sacrament of Confirmation the gifts of the Holy Spirit; wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety and fear of the Lord are strengthened. Through this Sacrament of Initiation, we pray that these Year Six students may live as witnesses to Jesus Christ in the world today.

Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD)

Schools must now complete the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD) every year. It counts the number of students who receive additional adjustments or “help” at school because of a disability. The collection also counts the level of adjustment students receive to access education on the same basis as other students.

Further Information has been attached to this newsletter for your information.

If you have any questions or concerns please contact Rosie Osthmuller (Learning Diversity Leader) on rosthmuller@sttcbourne.catholic.edu.au

St Therese's Beanies and Scarves

Don't forget there are still beanies and scarves available to purchase. The beanies have the St Therese's logo and the scarves are made of cashmere. The scarves and beanies are being sold at the front desk for only $10 each. They look amazing!

Have a terrific first week of Term Three!
