Year 5/6 Camp

117 of our Year 5/6 students, parents and staff had a fabulous time at Camp Weekaway where they participated in a range of outdoor adventure activities including flying fox, mountain biking, archery and bush cooking. The Camp staff were most impressed not only by the “have a go” attitude of the students, but also by their impeccable manners and happy demeanour. A massive thanks to parents Luke Delaney, Fiona Bahr, Eric Huppe, Peter Felstead, Peter Roach and John Myers for taking a week out of their lives to accompany the group, as well as Mrs Searle, Miss Dodson, Mrs Stockdale, Mrs Giannone-Perri, Mr Tait, Mrs Blaber & Mrs Sundar for taking time away from their families so as to make the week possible.

Foundation PMP commences this week on Friday 11.10am-12.50pm. This week’s rostered parents are  de Blazio & Sone.   If you are able to help out, have a WWCC and have completed a school induction let me know and I will add you to the roster.

Year 1/2 PMP continues on Tuesday’s 1.50-3.30pm.  This week’s rostered parents are Wong, Cudmore, Zhang, Zhong & Seo. We are still seeking more parents to assist the students to get the maximum benefit from the program. They love to see their parents & guardians getting involved.

House Athletics

Only 8 more sleeps until the Year 3-6 House Sports at Waverley Central Reserve. The long range forecast is not too hot. I hope you are as excited as I am! The students have been practising hard during PE sessions and are looking forward to competing at a “real” track next Friday 8th March.  We are seeking more parent help to accompany students as they move between events. If you can help (particularly with 8 & 9 and 10 year olds) please let me know.

Anyone who is available to help set up at the track on the day is also most welcome - I shall be there from 7.45am.

Team Vic U12 Teams

A reminder that Team Vic nominations by Year 5 & 6 students for Netball, AFL, Soccer & Basketball close on Friday 1st March. See Mrs Potter for more details, as school endorsement is required.
