Tree Planting Day

Next Friday the 26th of July we are recognising National Tree Planting Day at Syndal South. Every student will have a chance to plant a tree in the school. We would like some parent helpers, if you have your WWCC we would love you to join us. Bring your garden gloves and work boots. Look forward to seeing you then!

We Need your Bottle Tops!

Currently bottle tops, while although recyclable, are being sent to landfill. ‘Envision’ and ‘Grow with Joe’ are groups of volunteers that uses these bottle tops with 3D printing to produce prosthetic limbs and mobility aids for disadvantaged children.

Please collect and bring in your plastic bottle tops to the school – by doing so you will be helping children in need as well as the environment.

Donation points will be nominated at the beginning of Term 3.

Well done to our girls footy team who participated in the Monash Waverley Divisional Football Finals held at Bulleen Park earlier this week. The girls payed some great footy and all enjoyed the experience. Huge thanks to Parent Coaches Luke Delaney and Brad Frost who gave up their time and to teacher Michelle Dodson and those parents who were there on the day to support and cheer on the girls.

Kristie and Shea from Citrus Dance visited SSPS this week to run some 'Hip Hop' dance sessions for our kids. All students who participated in the sessions, received a free class pass. The sessions proved to be very popular with the kids as we grooved, rocked, balanced, hip hopped with attitude around the school hall.

Primary School Golf

Students wishing to register for the 2019 Victorian Primary Schools Golf Championships, can enter online at Hill on Monday the 6th September is probably our nearest course. This event is aimed to encourage students of any ability, both beginner and experienced, to get out on the course and have a go at golf. The event and course is modified to suit the primary aged student with all holes shortened and equipment available to borrow.

To be eligible to play students must be enrolled in grades 3, 4, 5 or 6 at a School Sport Victoria member school. The event consists of three stages: division events, region finals and the state final.
