Principal's Report

Curriculum Day

Monday, 6th of October will be a pupil free day. During this curriculum day teachers will be working together planning the teaching and learning program and developing budget submissions for 2015.

Students will resume for Term 4 on Tuesday 7th October.

Prep Enrolments

There are currently forty-four students enrolled for Prep at Ormond for 2015. Please encourage families who have not already enrolled their child to contact the school immediately in order to assist with transition to school and planning.

Year 6 - Victorian Student Numbers

Families completing some Secondary School applications will likely come across a section regarding your child's Victorian School Number - also known as a VSN. These numbers, specific for each student enrolled in a Victorian School can be found on the cover page of your child's school reports.

Ruby Street Works

Glen Eira City Council will be conducting work to the footpaths on Ruby Street from 22nd September to 3rd October (Monday to Friday between 7am - 5pm and Saturday 9am -2pm).

For families with students attending the Holiday Program, please avoid accessing the program via Ruby Street during this time.

End of Term Assembly

The third term will conclude with an assembly beginning at 2:10 pm on Friday, 19th of September. Term 4 begins for students on Tuesday, 7th of October.

Payments

Due to the end of term, we ask that any cash or cheque payments required to be paid to the office this week to please ensure they are done so by 4pm Thursday 18th September. Payments to be made by card can be done so up until 12 noon on Friday 19th September.

The second instalment of $78 for Year 4 Camp is due by Thursday 16th October.

Icy Pole Helpers

Icy Pole Treat Day will be happening again in Term 4 and Term 1 in 2015. Starting on 16th October, each Thursday at lunchtime Icy Poles will be available for students to purchase for 50c.

We are looking for parents who could volunteer some time to help Jayne Sullivan on these days. Please fill out the form attached by circling the days you are able to lend a hand and return it to the office or directly to Jayne.
