Principal's Report

Welcome Back Everyone

We have had a fantastic start to the school year. The students have come back from their holidays settled and ready for learning. They have all been eager to share what they did on the holidays and we know they are looking forward to a great year.

Our first assembly with a traditional smoking ceremony and Welcome to Country from Perry of the Wurundjeri tribe was a way for us to start the year celebrating our community and the local history. This will inform some of what the students will be learning about this term. It was a positive way to begin our year.

Introducing our 2017 Team

A great team of staff and teachers!

Term 1

Always such a busy short term full of great learning and great activity, this year is no exception. We have meet and greet interviews coming up in a few weeks, swimming, Family night, Prep Family Night and 5/6 camp. As well as Footsteps dancing and a disco at some stage. It's full steam ahead with learning as the students start the year learning about the school values and how to follow them and what the expectations are at Upper Gully. The students are all doing an amazing job, you just have to walk through the corridor or visit the classroom to see how engaged in their learning they are. It has been a fantastic start to 2017!

Have a great week everyone.
