A PRAYER FOR ALL MOTHERS
I trust that all the mothers, grandmothers, carers of our school community enjoyed the love of their families on Mother’s Day. We pray especially for those who struggle with the challenges of motherhood and those who are battling illnesses at this time. We thank you, beloved Father, for giving us Mary who is the true model of grace, love and compassion.
The cardmaking workshop that was held last Thursday after school was very well attended. How lovely to see so many dads helping their children to cut, paste, stick and glitter to create Mother’s Day cards filled with love. Thank you to all the teachers who stayed back to assist and to those who organised the event!
The Mother’s Day stall was hugely successful and I am sure the mums enjoyed seeing their children’s proud faces as they unwrapped the gifts that were purchased. Thank you to the team of mums, Marzena, Rita, Dianne, Vanessa, Mel, Lauren, Damien and Joe who helped with the stall. Your support and assistance is very much appreciated.
Our Mother’s Day afternoon tea and special assembly were also well attended. I would like to thank the staff who assisted with the setup of the afternoon tea and in preparing the children to present such heartfelt messages to their mums, step-mums, grandmothers and special carers.

We wish our Taiko Drummers the best of luck as they represent our school on Sunday 19th May at the Japanese Festival in Box Hill. Andrews Sensei was able to bring back with her brand new Happy Coats for our team, they look so professional in them!
Have a great week everyone.
