Quiet achievers at Beaumaris PS:
1. Congratulations to the Beaumaris PS Maths Olympiad Teams

The Maths Olympiad  is a mathematics competition for students in Australia and New Zealand  in Year 5 and Year 6. This year a total of 32,455 competitors represented their school in the competition.  The competition  requires students to solve mathematical problems in a creative manner - as opposed to simply reaching a solution using a prescribed method.

The following Beaumaris Primary School students  participated in the Maths Olympiad this year.

Team A:

Annabelle (Top 2%), Scott, Daisy Max, Kyle, Josh, Sebastian, Anakin, Leon, Sophie, Paige, Jade, Summer, Archie, Bianca, Ben, Saxon, Daniel (Top 10%), Davis (Top 10%), Lulu (Top 20%), Henry (Top 20%), Isabelle (Top 20%), Marvin, Neil, Tristan, Purdey, Mia, Lucas, Charlotte, Sofia (Top 25%)

Zaidee's Rainbow Foundation

We thank our school community, who last week raised $614.40 for Zaidee's Rainbow Foundation by wearing a "touch of rainbow" with their school uniforms and making a gold coin donation.  The foundation raises national awareness of organ and tissue donation.

Whole School Working Bee Sunday November 25th

Our priorities on the day will be to reinstate our cactus garden into other areas of the school prior to the demolition of the building in the school holidays and general weeding, mulching and watering of our the gardens to ensure the plantings continue to thrive during dry spells in the months ahead. We will need help to move some of our student resources in readiness for the building works.

Remembrance Day Service

Tomorrow in the hall  at 3pm our student leaders will lead the school Remembrance Day Service.

Parents are welcome to attend.

Remember: Gratitude, Empathy, Mindfulness

What are three things that went well for you today?

What are the best things that happened to you today?

Who are you most grateful for and why?

What are you looking forward to most about tomorrow?

100% Cotton short/long sleeved polo shirts

In March this year School Council considered a request from a group of parents to trial the reintroduction of the 100% cotton polo tops as an additional option for our current school uniform.  Whilst interest was not sufficient to enable any orders to be placed when this was offered to our school community, School Council committed to revisiting the process.

These polo shirts are made by our current supplier with the body/sleeves of the polo in 100% cotton and the collar in the same poly/cotton material as the standard polo.

· The retail price for this 100% cotton short sleeved polo will be $50 and for a long sleeved polo, $52.

· We must fill a minimum order for the items to be manufactured, so we are asking families who are interested in committing to a purchase, to let the office know.  If the minimum quantity is reached then payment will be taken and production will go ahead.

· Please email/phone your requirements to the office by Thursday 15th November stating:  short or long sleeved, size and quantity required.

· The item will not be stocked in the uniform shop for subsequent orders.  It will be offered as a one-off order each year (with the same minimum quantities required).

· Unfortunately due to costs, samples are not available to view

· Sizing will be the same as our current polo shirts

· Returns will not be accepted for change of mind, (unless the item is faulty).

Please don’t hesitate to contact the office for further information.

Snack Shack

Snack Shack News

Over the coming weeks we will be trialling some new products baked on-site - muffins, cookies, bliss balls … to get this happening we need your help.

If you have any baking materials at home that you don’t need, or you are happy to donate one to the school, we need the following to get baking:

  • mixers (maybe you have an old one at home?)
  • muffin trays of any size
  • spatulas
  • storage containers

Please drop off any items at the Canteen or office. If you have any suggestions for foods your kids would like to see in the canteen please put them in the suggestion box at the office desk.

Students can purchase these items at the Snack Shack so bring in some spare change.

Thanks for getting on board!

Year Book

We are now closing sales for our Year Book.  If you would like a copy please purchase one via the Qkr app. by Sunday 11th midnight.  No late orders can be accepted as we pre-order books in bulk and single books cannot be printed.
