Principal's Corner

You’ve got tomato sauce on your clothes!

When my wife asks me, “How do I look?” My response is invariably the same - “You look great!”.  It is always a very safe response! However, it is important to tell people whether there is tomato sauce on their clothes so they can fix it.

We need you to tell us whether we have tomato sauce on our clothes too!

If you see something in the College that you have a great idea about or you have a way to fix something in the College, then we would greatly appreciate your voice.  You might have an idea about homework, uniform, carparks, or gardens. You might even just want to ask a question. Please click on this link below and fill out the form.  This form will be viewed weekly at our Leadership meetings and then feedback given accordingly.

Thanks for your help to make Heritage College an even better place for your children!

PB4L Report
Week 3

SRC PB4L Worships

Worships are such an important part of who we are at Heritage College. Staff start the day at each campus with time reflecting and sharing God with each other. Students also spend time each morning with their classroom teacher, singing and learning more about the Mighty God that we serve.

This year we see history in the making at Officer Primary as we have our first School Captains and SRC. It was my privilege to meet with both them and the NWS SRC last week to encourage, challenge and inspire them as they will have the opportunity to share God with their peers at fortnightly House worships.

Narre Warren South had there first worship last week on Thursday and students where asked “How can we show Excellence?” after watching Jody Hopps persevere through police training to become the first police bunny.

This Wednesday, Officer had their first worships as students where challenged to think about what it means to “Bounce Back” as they watched Poppy from Trolls “Getting back up again”.

It is such a wonderful blessing to see our students sharing God with each other.

Festival of Faith
Week 3

This week on campus is ‘Festival of Faith’ week. Festival of Faith, or FOF for short, is a week that allows students to engage in the Word of God. Heritage College is pleased to host our guest speaker for this year, Gerrard Price, Chaplain of Henderson College in Mildura.

Gerrard will be presenting on the theme “Ignite”. He hopes to present messages that will give us a picture of what a faith on fire might look like.

From the ELC

First Day of Kinder 2019

Our little cherubs have embarked on their kinder journeys and everyone has been settling in quite well. We had to say goodbye to some of our friends last year, but have welcomed so many new children to the family. It is always a bitter sweet time of year remembering the past children, but also being excited for new adventures with a new bunch of bright eyed and curious little ones.

Everyone is getting to know each other, making new friends and creating trusting relationships with the educators. The children are beginning to come out of their shells and we are beginning to see their individual personalities. So far, trains are a popular activity, along with Lego, painting and craft.

This week, we joined in with the festival of faith celebrations with the Officer Campus Primary. There were lots of great songs and ice breaker games and of course messages to ignite our passion for God. What a great experience for our little ones to have, being part of the Heritage community and becoming servants of our God.

There is still kinder availability on some days, so if you would like to enrol your 3-5 year-old child into the ELC, please speak to any of the reception staff at the school or contact us directly on 9796 0100 (we are option 4).
