Fortnightly Bulletin

It has been a huge week of preparation for our Whole School Musical – “Toys.” Our students are very excited and yesterday’s rehearsals went very well.  Looking forward to the show tonight and seeing you all at St Louis Hall.  A few details about tonight are below.

Toys - The Musical - TONIGHT!!!

The excitement is building and we are looking forward to a great show tonight.  Tickets are still available click here.  - Here are a few last minute reminders:

  • Costumes:  Students are to arrive dressed ready to perform.  The students will be barefoot on stage but we ask that they come in shoes that are easy to remove prior to their performance (eg. thongs)
  • Dropping off your Children: Students will need to be seated in the Performing Arts Room (they will know where to go) by 7.15pm.
  • Start time: The show will start at 7.30pm and conclude by 8.30pm. There is no intermission. We will then have an organised process for families to collect their children at the end of the show. Please no food or drink in the hall.
  • Doors:  The doors to the Hall will open at 6.50pm so students can be dropped off and families can begin to be seated.
  • Ticket sales: please ensure you have purchased your tickets via this link
  • Filming: the show cannot be filmed (still or video) due to copyright constraints. It is being professionally recorded and DVD’s are available for sale – refer to order form attached. The official recording is made in respect to the constraints of copyright and the obligation to 3rd party intellectual property.
  • DVDFollowing on from our night of performance, in the coming weeks we will gather as a whole school to watch the official production DVD – so we can all enjoy the show in its complete form.  see order form below.

I look forward to seeing you all on the night and enjoying our whole school musical.

Friday November 1 - Student Attendance

A reminder that school is on and we are open as a normal school day tomorrow. The performance does not finish late and there is no need to offer a late start. If families do choose to let their child sleep in – then we ask that late arrivals come to school at 10:45am, just prior to the start of recess. This will minimise the interruptions to learning in the morning block.

School Closure Days

A reminder that the school is closed on Monday 4 and Tuesday 5 November. School resumes as normal for all on Wednesday 6th November.

Korean Drumming

Our Korean Drummers have been performing at Chelsea Primary School today as part of their Korean Day activities.  Story and pictures to follow next week.  Well done to all of our students.

Survey Outcomes

Thank you to the many respondents who shared their thoughts and views about these 2 aspects of our school. The results of the surveys about our Out of School Hours Care Program and School Uniform were shared and discussed at the recent School Advisory Board Meeting. I am currently working through the outcomes of the OSHC survey and will advise families in the coming weeks of the outcome going forward into 2020. The School Advisory Board have formed a subcommittee of its members to work towards the uniform needs – it is planned that their work will be complete, including the appropriate community consultations along the way, by the end of Term 2 2020.
